This page explains PacificKoru’s responsible gambling and host responsibility position for the casino hall / gaming lounge within the hotel.
Adults-only access
Casino hall access is restricted to adults: 20+ for casino gaming areas. PacificKoru may require age verification before entry and may refuse access where age, identification, safety or host responsibility requirements are not met.
Responsible gambling commitment
Gambling should be treated as entertainment, not as a way to make money or solve financial difficulties. Guests should set personal limits, take breaks, avoid gambling when distressed or impaired, and ask for help if gambling stops feeling controlled or enjoyable.
No minors in casino gaming areas
Minors are not permitted in casino gaming areas. Staff may ask for identification and may refuse access where age eligibility cannot be confirmed.
Staff support and intervention
PacificKoru staff may provide guidance, pause service, refuse entry, ask a guest to take a break, or take other reasonable steps where there are concerns about safety, intoxication, distress, impaired decision-making or gambling harm.
Self-management and exclusion
Guests who are concerned about their gambling can speak with the hotel team about available options and practical support. Where formal exclusion, venue restriction or harm minimisation processes are available or required, staff will direct the guest to the appropriate process.
Alcohol, wellbeing and safe service
PacificKoru supports responsible service and guest wellbeing. Guests who appear intoxicated, distressed or unable to participate safely may be refused access or service in line with venue responsibilities and New Zealand law.
